Get Involved with RSPCA Oak & Furrows

Volunteers play an important role in the charity and we couldn’t work without them.  We always have a variety of roles available from helping to generate income in the stores and working in the warehouse to caring for the animals at the Wildlife Centre.  Currently, our volunteer register if full for those wishing to volunteer at the Wildlife Centre.  We will update our website when we can open registration for the Wildlife Centre when more roles are available.

Shop & Warehouse Volunteering

Shop volunteering can be very rewarding, people volunteer for many different reasons. You will be giving us your valuable time but for many people, we can offer the chance to learn valuable skills, within the workplace, a chance to gain confidence or quite simply the opportunity to be out of the house and socialising in a friendly environment. Whatever your reason is we are glad to have you onboard. Our shops generate the main income for the branch. We pride ourselves on running a well organised retail operation. The managers work hard to create a happy, positive working environment within their shops for all staff, volunteers, and customers, the delivery of excellent customer service is of the utmost importance, sometimes under challenging circumstances, we will always strive to go the extra mile for our customers, providing them with a first-class shopping experience every time they visit one of our stores.

Centre Volunteering

Volunteering at our Wildlife rescue centre offers a unique and meaningful opportunity to engage with and care for sick and injured wildlife. Under the guidance of our skilled team, you will be able to immerse yourself in a hands-on animal care and rehabilitation experience.

For those who choose to be less hands-on there are a variety of alternative roles within the centre. Every role is important, and every role will ensure the smooth running of the day-to-day operation.

      Fundraising & Events

Every fundraising and awareness event provides the opportunity for us to engage with members of the public, it is an important platform, not only to generate much needed revenue but it also offers us the chance to educate people on the work we do as a local animal welfare charity. Fundraising for charity can have a positive effect on all those who participate, we appreciate and value every single fundraising effort.

Our team are always happy to support and guide anyone who wishes to organise a fundraising event of their own.
